Platinum IT Club

Step 1 – Pre Sign-up Information

Thank you for expressing an interest in our Platinum IT Club, the comprehensive IT support service for home computer users.

  1. The Platinum IT Club service is offered on the basis that your computer(s) meets our minimum recommended specification:
    • Windows XP or later
    • OS X 10.3 or later
    • 1Gb RAM
    • Minimum 10Gb Free Space on boot drive
    • Intel P4 or newer; minimum 2Ghz (or equivalent processor)
  2. If you are unsure of the specification of your computer, please call us on 020 8871 4478; we will be happy to check this for you.

  3. It is a requirement of the Platinum IT Club that the computer(s) included in the membership agreement is subject to an initial on-site audit; this will allow our engineers to undertake a physical check of the computer(s) and any hardware devices which may be connected to the computers; its/their physical environment, and to ensure that the computer(s) meets the minimum recommended specification, as outlined above. If the computer(s) or its/their physical environment does not meet our minimum standards of operation, these will need to be brought up to standard in order for us to provide the services of the Platinum IT Club. We will advise accordingly.
  4. The Free virus removal service offered as part of the Platinum IT Club is restricted to members who have ESET Smart Security software installed on the computer(s) included in the membership agreement; if you have an existing, current ESET NOD32 licence, there will be a charge of £5 + VAT – £15 + VAT (depending on the age of the licence) to upgrade to a new licence for the Smart Security software. This charge will need to be paid by credit or debit card at the time the work is to be carried out. An engineer will need to uninstall your existing NOD32 software, and then install the Smart Security Internet Suite software; this will be done remotely. We will not charge you for this upgrade installation service.
  5. If you are using any other anti-virus or internet security product, you will have to upgrade to ESET Smart Security in order to benefit from the free virus removal service. A Smart Security licence will cost £40 + VAT per machine and will need to be paid for by credit or debit card at the time it is installed. We will uninstall your existing anti-virus or internet security product, and install the new Smart Security licence free of charge.

What’s NOT included in the monthly fee for the Platinum IT Club?

Whist we can fix many problems remotely and/or by telephone, there are certain problems which can only be resolved by an engineer attending on-site or by bringing equipment back to the workshop; these services, and any parts that may be required, are not covered by the Platinum IT Club; however as a member, you will be entitled to the following benefits:

  • 20% discount on all workshop labour and on-site visits
  • Free collection and delivery of repaired equipment (terms & condition apply)
